    <p>There were some exchanges on the ticket Ezequiel kindly opened at
      the VM github. I was not able so far to follow its discussion on
      the VM dev list. May be Ezequiel got some more input?</p>
    <p>In last resort, I though that I may just ship the Max OS build of
      DrGeo with the locale set by default in French. That's very last
      option I can always use...<br>

        to step forward to help.</p>

                        <p>I am attaching GetLangFromEnv.st (and a
                          zipped copy of it in case it does not go
                          through email). This is just a couple of
                          methods copied out of OSProcess to provide a
                          minimal mechanism for reading the LANG
                          environment variable. Tested only on Linux but
                          it will work the same way on OSX.</p>
                        <p>Hopefully this will provide a workaround for
                          DrGeo on Mac if we are not able to get the
                          LocalPlugin fixed.</p>
