We are excited to share the first public alpha
release of DyboApp (v26.08-alpha)!

DyboApp is the end-user software component of the Dybo Project —
a dedicated computer system designed specifically for teachers
and students. The DyboApp is built from the ground up to bring
pedagogical flow, clarity, and administrative comfort.

What is DyboApp?
Developed in Cuis Smalltalk on top of GNU/Linux, it combines an
administrative context and interactive pedagogical binders:
handwritten stylus annotations on documents merged with live
Dynamic Knowledge Models (DKMs)—interactive Smalltalk objects
tailored for subjects like mathematics, history, languages,
etc. Check out our short video demonstrations on Mamot
Licensing & The Path to Free Software
Our ultimate goal is for the entire Dybo project (both software
and custom hardware) to be 100% Free Software. During this
initial bootstrap phase, DyboApp is released under an Interim
Single-User License: free to download and test for personal,
non-commercial evaluation by individual educators, developers,
and enthusiasts.

Once sustainable project funding or institutional support is
secured, DyboApp will be fully relicensed under the GNU General
Public License v3 (GPLv3), and the DKM repository will
transition to the LGPL.
