I'm glad to hear that is possible to add the plugin to the official VM.

I'm in favour of that approach.

For the moment I deliver the VectorEnginePlugin as a patch, but as soon as the plugin is added to the officially distributed VM, I can easily withdraw the patch and follow the official VM.

Meanwhile the VM on OpenIndiana that is delivered with the Cuis plugin as a patch, provides a way to use SVG on Cuis on OI, as delivered by the OI operating system.
