Hilaire,

First, let me thank you for doing this and giving excellent suggestions.

Morphic-Misc1 is kind of a "let me play around and see how to do some 
things; this looks useful; put it out", so there is a fairly complete 
_lack_ of design going on here.

I will try some things out and see how I can make things more useful to 
you.

One thing which might be useful playing with layouts is to open an 
inspector on whatever and

   self colorizeLayouts

Which should add tints showing how layouts are composed.  Makes them 
easier to select too!
