[Cuis-dev] Surround selection for special characters

Apologies for not answering before.
I don't have a preference wrt requiring ctrl or not. Actually, having it
both ways is ok with me. But I'm not really happy about duplicating the
functionality in two different places.
BTW, has anybody checked VS Code, Eclipse, or some other mainstream code
editor?
