While this expression

is highlighted by shout as ungrammatical,
but it is accepted by the scanner/parser.
Am I right, that it was just easier to implement this way?
I presume the scanner lacks the notion of a double-colon symbol.
(I stumbled over this by (mis)using the scanner for other stuff).
