[Cuis-dev] problems with the sound plugin on mac

Is anyone using the sound plugin on Mac?

Sometimes it breaks. Today, after installing Blackhole (to route audio to
chrome in order to make it audible when sharing screen with jitsi) it
started to break a lot more… seems kind of random, sometimes rebooting and
starting with a new image or changing the sampling rate makes it work for a
while. When it breaks, the sound plugin prints “failed to get output device
notification” and “failed to get input device notification”,

I don’t think it’s just Blackhole, it happened before too, it just seems to
ve happening more often now.

I think it eould be nice to rewrite the sound and MIDI plugins with
rtaudio, it should be crossplatform and much simpler (it’s just one c++
source file). In the meantime, any idea? Any alternative?
