The use case is back-up of the user data, in the DyboApp application. To 
make a "smart backup",  I  need to know about the modification time. It 
is not about moving data, but copying data in a smart way. The 
modification time in the filing system is handy.

Nevertheless, for now I have moved to OSProcess and I use the rsync tool 
to do that specific job.  I am doing back-up on usb stick from one 
DyboApp instance (with data on a NFS) to another one, typically from 
school to home and possible vis-versa.

It seems to work fine on Linux, but it may need some work to get it 
working for other the OS.
