Another quick update and a question
1. A bigger example of the DisplayListView is attached below; this has about 12100 items (rectangles, lines, polylines, strings and images, see the scroll bars) in the display list and scrolls smoothly. As you can see from the treble clef to the left of the pop-up menu, the code that reads the music icons from the VisualWorks-stored format is still broken. Next I’ll tackle hit detection and item interaction.
2. My latest question is about the Transcript; is there a reason it doesn’t scroll and doesn’t allow selection? I keep having to spawn it as a Workspace to see the whole contents.
