Someone should ask Kim Rose. She seemed adept at managing polymaths. Maybe humanity just needs her plus an enormous budget.
A bigger question is, where do we — the humans who don’t want to be boiled — obtain the correct budget? There’s also the question of what that budget should be, but I’m not going to speculate about that; better to say “as much as we can get.” Do we crowd-fund? As much as I don’t like the idea of some business taking a 20% cut of the survival of our species, it seems preferable to just climbing into the pot and waiting for it to boil. It doesn’t seem like governments will fund the work, and I don’t think corporations will either.
My health isn’t good and I’ve gotta bow out of the conversation for a little bit. Try to get my head together. Recently reinjured a bad knee, can’t really go anywhere. Between that and the pandemic, my head isn’t in a good place for clear thinking. Too much time alone.
Sorry my availability is spotty, friends.
